Things to See and Do
We are so excited for you to experience Belfast and Northern Ireland. Why not use the opportunity to stay the weekend after the conference and explore our wee country. There's so much to see and do, below are a number of suggestions of things we recommend.


The Giant's Causeway
No visit to Northern Ireland would be complete without visiting this spectacular UNESCO world heritage site. Learn the story of the giant, Fionn mac Cumhaill and how the Isle of Man got its start. Or discover more about our ancient past through this ancient geological marvel.
Titanic Museum
Back to where it began, right where the titanic was designed, built and launched in 1911. Titanic Belfast is a must-see for any Belfast visitor. The largest titanic visitor experience in the world, telling the story of the titanic, from beginning to sad end.


St. George's Market
This award-winning indoor Victorian market is just round the corner from the ICC. Open Friday-Sunday mornings, it is a great venue to get some delcious grub. With 200 market stalls selling a variety of - local, continental and specialty foods There are also handmade crafts, flowers, plants, local photography, pottery, glass, fruit, vegetables, antiques, books, clothes, hot food, cakes and buns, crafts and a large selection of fresh fish.

With live music, coffee, plenty of food stalls, its a great way to settle into a relaxing weekend morning in Belfast.
Crumlin Road Gaol
Northern Ireland's last remaining Victorian prison. Over 150 years of history and 25,000 prisoners are to be discovered in historic and haunted Crumlin Road Gaol.

Located in North Belfast, the Crumlin Road Gaol has housed murderers, suffragettes and loyalist and republican prisoners. It has witnessed births, deaths and marriages and has been the home to executions, escapes, hunger-strikes and riots.No longer a working prison, the Gaol is a grade A listed prison, open to the public for a vistior experience unlike anything else.



Cathedral Quarter
Belfast's historic Cathedral Quarter is a maze of cobblestone streets which are now home to an array of trendy bars and restaurants.

Buzzing with live music, traditional sessions, an electric atmosphere, and colourful street art. The Cathedral Quarter is the spot to head to if you're looking to enjoy some of Belfast's cultural, vibrant nightlife.

Located easily in the city centre, not too far from the ICC and our recommended accomodation.
Ulster Museum and Botanic Gardens
Located in South Belfast. The Ulster Museum is a free museum, showcasing art, history and nature.

Surrounded by the beautiful Botanic Gardens, enjoy a stroll through the garden, check out the tropical ravine and palm house.


Cave Hill
Enjoy a breathtaking walk up Cave Hill. Located in the north of Belfast. The Cave Hill walk is a challenging 3.3 mile loop through Cave Hill Country Park and is one of the best walks in Northern Ireland.
The most prominent point on the walk is Napoleon's Nose, which inspired Jonathan Swift in his wriitngs of Gulliver's Travels.

The park is located beside Belfast Castle and Belfast Zoo, two other attractions worth visiting.
